Launiupoko
Contemporary
Sugarcane slopes, ocean horizon, and a home designed to dissolve the boundary between inside and out.

This contemporary home sits in the hills above Launiupoko, refined but not overwrought, rooted in its setting. The site required engineering a substantial pad and directing all drainage toward the century-old ditches established during the sugarcane era — infrastructure still doing its job generations later.

Inside, the kitchen opens fully through an accordion window to the outdoor Lanai, a pass-through that turns cooking into an outside experience.

The master bathroom features an accordion door that brings the tub to the edge of the outdoors, capturing the breeze without the maintenance of a fully exposed bath.
